The Executive Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong has donated an 18-seater bus to Our Lady of Fatima Sisters Generate Jos, to ease transportation challenges faced by the organisation.
Represented by the Honourable Commissioner of Lands Survey and Town Planning Yakubu Dati, while presnting the bus on Friday, Lalong reiterated his commitment to supporting Religious Organisations.
Speaking on behalf of the Governor, Hon Yakubu Dati expressed appreciation to the Sisters for their continued prayer for the State and Nigeria at large and charge them not to relent in their prayers and selfless services to Humanity.
Lalong said it is imperative to assist Our Lady of Fatima Sisters Generate Jos to enable them move from one place to another in carrying out their calling of being trained as Reverend Sisters of the Catholic Church.
He then charged them to put the kind gesture of the Governor to good use for the service of God and humanity.
Dati then assured other organisations of the Governors support as he said more groups would be supported by the Government for the betterment of Humanity.
Speaking earlier the Superior General, Our Lady of Fatima Sisters Generate Jos Rev. Sister Theresa Dung said they are delighted by the kind gesture of the governor.
She said they are grateful to his excellency for hearing their cry and as they asked and as a listening father, he listened and provided their need.
She prayed that God bless the Governor, his cabinet and the good people of Plateau State.
