The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has released a situation report on the fire outbreak that occurred at a section of the Ajegunle market on Friday night.
LASEMA disclosed that the fire was combated by firefighters from LRU and Federal Fire Services.
"Upon arrival at the scene, some shops gutted with fire at the plank section of the market were encountered.

"The cause of the fire remains unknown. The fire was combated head-on by firefighters from LRU and Federal Fire Services.
"Concerted efforts to extinguish the fire completely came to bear when the Fire was been completely put out with the combined efforts of the LASEMA Response team and LRU fire.
"Dampening down completed. Post-disaster assessment to be conducted later," the report read.
