Biafra: Imo's Gov. Uzodimma Reveals Directive To Nigerian Military On IPOB, ESN

Following the ongoing military action in some parts of Orlu Senatorial District of Imo State, the state governor, Hope Uzodimma has said that he invited the Nigerian Army 'to flush out the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and it's paramilitary arm, Eastern Security Network (ESN)'.

IPOB is a proscribed group canvassing for the secession and sovereignty of Eastern Nigeria. Read more here.

Biafra: I’d Have Killed Obasanjo - Mazi Unegbu

A prominent lawyer and arbitrator, Okechukwu Unegbu has revealed his past chat with former president of Nigeria, Olusegun Obasanjo, where he jokingly told the Abeokuta-born political leader that he'd have "shot at" him had he come across him during the Nigerian-Biafran War of 1967 to 1970.

According to Unegbu, he was a war commander during the Biafra war, a conflict that led to about 100,000 overall military casualties, while between 500,000 and 2 million Biafran civilians died of starvation. Read more here.
