The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday announced that a total of 58 patients have died of coronavirus in the country as 204 people tested positive for the novel coronavirus bringing its total to 1,932. Read more here.

Kano Records 80 New COVID-19 Cases

Kano State on Thursday night recorded 80 new cases of coronavirus, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

Ooni Of Ife: Local Cure For COVID-19 To Be Ready Soon

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi says the herbal solution for coronavirus is at the advance stage and will be ready soon.

Oba Ogunwusi said this while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta on Tuesday, after donating two motorised modular fumigators to the Ogun State government. Read more here.

COVID-19: 25-Year-Old Dies From Coronavirus Complications In Lagos

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi, has announced the death of a 25-year-old man who died as a result of coronavirus-related complications.

Nigerian Governor Authorises Chloroquine For COVID-19, After Surviving Coronavirus

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has directed health workers in his state to use Chloroquine as a medication for patients of COVID-19, disclosing that when contracted the virus, he was treated with “chloroquine and Zithromax.”

Mohammed, who was the COVID-19 index case in the state, expressed readiness to take responsibility for any consequences of approving such drugs. He stated this Wednesday while providing an update on COVID-19 in the state, at the Government House, Bauchi. Read more here.

COVID-19: Don’t Use This Tragedy For Profit, Shehu Sani Tells Government

Former senator representing Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani, has reacted to the rising number of recorded cases of coronavirus in Nigeria.

Sani, in a tweet on Thursday, said some of the cases are “concocted, falsified and potential ones exaggerated to exploit the pandemic in order to generate more funds. Read more here.

COVID-19: Guinea-Bissau PM And Three Other Ministers Test Positive

The Prime Minister of Guinea-Bissau, Nuno Gomes Nabiam, on Wednesday, announced that he had contracted the novel coronavirus, as well as three other ministers in his cabinet.

“I have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, I am at home and I feel well,” the PM said in a post on Facebook. Read more here.
