Mysterious Deaths In Kano Caused By COVID-19 As Lagos, Ogun, Others Record New Cases

The Presidential Task Force Committee on COVID-19 has disclosed that the mysterious deaths in Kano are a result of coronavirus.

COVID-19: Death Toll In US Nears 68,000, Confirmed Cases Tops 1.1 Million

The United States saw an increase in its death toll from coronavirus by 1,450 in the past 24 hours, this is according to a tally by John Hopkins University, making the number of deaths in the country, 67,600.

As of 8:30 pm on Sunday, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States recorded by the university has it over 1.15 million cases. Read more here.

COVID-19: Russia Records Single-Day Figure Of 9,623

On Saturday, Russia recorded a significant single-day increase in coronavirus cases recorded, with the country recorded nearly 10,000 cases in just one day.

Siemens Pledges To Support Oil and Gas Sector Amid COVID-19

Siemens Energy Limited has pledged to assist Nigeria’s oil and gas sector amid the COVID-19 pandemic as it also disclosed how much effort it has put into working amid the lockdown. 

In a statement on Saturday, the Vice-President, Service and Digital, Siemens Energy Limited, Mr Seun Suleiman, said, “It is amazing to share with you the business advantage of localising the field ops organization in Nigeria, especially with the pandemic of COVID-19. We have been able to successfully meet most of our customer field service interventions without any hindrance and these FSRs have been fully supported via in-country tier 1 technical support. PDP Tells Buhari to Apologise to Nigerians over 'Mismanagement of COVID-19 Pandemic'

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has asked President Muhammadu Buhari to apologise to Nigerians over the management of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

"Mr. President should apologize to Nigerians for his failures, which have worsened the pandemic situation. He should also account for the billions of naira, which his government claimed to have spent, particularly, on palliatives," the opposition party said in a statement of Sunday. Read more here.

The founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Kumuyi, has again expressed his confidence that the world will overcome the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
