Nigeria Records 328 New COVID-19 Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Friday announced 328 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.

According to a tweet via its official handle, Lagos recorded the daily highest infections with 121 new cases, followed by the FCT and Bauchi with 70 and 25 cases respectively. Read more here.

Antiviral Drugs To Be Discontinued In COVID-19 Treatment - NCDC

The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, has said that the agency would end its prescription of antiviral drugs in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, as it reels out a new set of guidelines for the treatment of the deadly virus.

The NCDC DG disclosed this on Thursday during the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Read more here.

COVID-19: Worship Centres To Remain Shut In Ogun- Gov Abiodun

The government of Ogun state, on Friday said all worship centres are to remain shut until guidelines on their re-opening are reviewed.

COVID-19: Winner Announced In British League As Liverpool Disappointed

Chelsea F.C. Women have been crowned champions of the Super League, overtaking Manchester City on a points-per-game record, with Liverpool relegated as clubs agree on a conclusion to the 2019-20 season.

Coronavirus: Isolation Centres In Lagos Will Soon Run Out Of Bed Spaces - Akin Abayomi

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, portends a grim future for isolation centres in the state with the increasing number of COVID-19 in the country.

PM Quarantines After Contacts Test Positive

Prime Minister of Uganda, Ruhakana Rugunda, has gone into self-quarantine after some contacts of his tested positive for the novel coronavirus.
