Lagos state government has announced that 22 new coronavirus patients have been discharged.

Oyo: UCH Doctor, DSS Operative, Six Togolese Nationals Test Positive For Coronavirus

A doctor at the University College Hospital (UCH) and a Department of State Services (DSS) officer have tested positive for coronavirus in Oyo State. 

Also tested positive were six Togolese nationals and two other residents in Ogbomosho. Read more here.

Coronavirus: Mauritius Extends Lockdown To June 1

The island nation of Mauritius has announced an extension of its lockdown until June 1, depsite a plateau in the country's COVID-19 cases that has remained stable for the past five days.

The country's Prime Minister, Pravind Jugnauth appealed to the people of Mauritius to exercise  “a little more patience, to avoid any risk of a second wave,” as lockdown measures have been laid out since March 20. Read more here.

As Ramadan 2020 fasting continues today Saturday, May 2nd amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, a leading global Islamic scholar, Mufti Menk, has offered his routine prayer for 'healing for the world'.
