Coronavirus: Tension In Kano As 34 Doctors Test Positive, One Dies

 

No lesser than 34 doctors who worked in Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH) and other private clinics in the Kano tested positive for corinavirus.

Coronavirus: Nigeria Records 148 New Cases As It Enters Day-2 Of Easing Lockdown

As Nigeria enter Day-2 of easing its lockdown, the Nigeria Cemter for Disease Control (NCDC) has revealed that the country recorded 146 new cases of Coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 2950.

According to NCDC, Lagos State had the highest number of cases with 43, while Kano was next with 32. NCDC further revealed on its official Twitter handle that Zamfara recorded 14, Abuja-10, Katsina-9, Taraba-7, Borno-6, Ogun-6, Oyo-5, Edo-3, Kaduna-3, Bauchi-3, Adamawa-2, Gombe-2, Plateau-1, Sokoto-1, Kebbi-1. COVID-19: Ronaldo Enters 14-day Quarantine After Returning To Juventus

Amid the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, soccer superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, will be placed in quarantine for two weeks after the Juventus' main man returned to Turin, Italy on Monday.

COVID-19: Death Toll In Britain Surpasses Italy's

Britain unseats Italy as the European country with the highest number of deaths from the novel coronavirus, as the country records a death toll of over 32,000, according to official data.

COVID-19: Prison In DRC Sees A Spike In Coronavirus Cases

A military prison in Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of Congo, has reportedly seen a spike in the number coronavirus cases, this is according to the country's health authorities.

A communiqué released by the government of the country stated that, “Fifty-six (additional) people in Ndolo military prison were confirmed with COVID-19." Read more here.
