COVID-19: Nigeria To Manufacture Own Vaccines Soon - NAFDAC

As the world continues to rely on United States, United Kingdom, Russia, and China for COVID-19 cure, the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), disclosed Nigeria is getting closer to being a manufacturer of vaccines as well.

This was revealed by the Director-General of NAFDAC, Mojisola Adeyeye, who said Nigeria is aiming for a level three stage which will enable the country to manufacture its vaccines, as Nigeria is adhering to the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) global benchmarking and adopting international best practices. COVID-19: Lagos Places Bans On Concerts, Carnivals, Street Parties

Following the continuous escalation of coronavirus (COVID-19) in the country, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Friday directed that Christmas carnival, concerts, and street Jamz have been banned until further notice.

AllNews gathered that Governor Sanwo-Olu who made this known in a statement also returned the restriction that in places of worship in the state, no gathering must exceed 50 percent of the maximum capacity of the venue. Read more here.

COVID-19: Biden To Receive Vaccine Monday

The President-elect of United States, Joe Biden will on Monday publicly receive his first dose of the coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine.

Biden, Press Secretary, Jen Psaki, made the announcement on Friday as Vice President Mike Pence, Senate Majority Leader Meitch McConnell, and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi became the highest-ranking government officials to receive their doses. Read more here.

COVID-19: We Cannot Afford Another Total Lockdown - Sanwo-Olu Warns

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State has revealed that the state cannot afford to go on another total lockdown.
