1. Sanwo-Olu Launches Rape Fund For Victims Of Sexual Violence

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the release of funds from the equity of the Lagos State Health Scheme (LSHS) to provide free healthcare for 50,000 orphans, the elderly, and the vulnerable in the state.

2. Navy Moves To Court-Martial Officer Who Exposed Fraudulent Act of Chief of Naval Staff

The Nigerian Navy has invited Captain Emmanuel Ekpe Owen who petitioned military authorities over his alleged victimization by the Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, after exposing his financial misappropriation and corruption.

3. Prof Wole Soyinka Launches New Novel, Titled 'Chronicles Of The Happiest People On Earth'

Nobel Laureate, Prof Wole Soyinka has formally launched his new novel, titled: "Chronicles of the Happiest People on Earth" at Terra Kulture, Victoria Island, Lagos, published by Bookcraft Publishing, Ibadan, 48 years after his two works – The Interpreters (1965) and Season of Anomy (1973).

4. #EndSARS Panel Adjourns Evans' Sister Case Against SARS

The Lagos Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) related abuses has adjourned the case of Mrs. Obiechina, a sister to popular kidnapper, Chukwudi Onuamadike (Evans). The panel adjourned the case against the disbanded Federal Anti Robbery Squad till Monday, 14th December 2020.

5. Police Arrest 18-Year-Old Girl For Faking Own Kidnap

Lagos State Police Command has arrested an 18-year-old girl, Ujunwa Offiah, for allegedly conniving with her boyfriend to fake her own kidnap so as to demand ransom from her family. The state's commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, in a statement on Tuesday, said that the girl staged her abduction and demanded 30 million naira ransom (79,336 dollars, 65,500 euros).

6. Lagos Launches New Traffic Agency Squad, Anti-Oneway

The Lagos State Government has launched another traffic agency called ‘Anti-Oneway and Other Traffic Offenders Squad’ to checkmate one-way driving and other traffic offences by motorists. The squad was set up by the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, at the instance of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with the specific mandate to arrest and impound vehicles plying one-way, BRT lanes and also motorcyclists operating in restricted areas.

7. FRSC Send Warning Message To Motorist Using Phones While Driving

The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Lagos Sector Command on Sunday observed with dismay the rampant use of phones by motorists while driving on the road. The Sector Commander of FRSC, Olusegun Ogungbemide, in a statement, said the corps had noticed a rising disregard of traffic and safety regulations that forbid the use of phone behind wheels.

8. #ENDSARS: 'Lagos Still Suffering From Loss'- Police Warns Against Any Form Of Protest

The Lagos State Police Command on Sunday warned that Lagosians were still suffering from loss recorded during the last #ENDSARS protests. Stating this in a statement, the police alleged that there were attempts by some individuals disguising as #ENDSARS protester.

9. NSCDC Parades Three Foreigners For 6,250 Litres Petrol Theft

On Monday, the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) command in Lagos paraded three Citizens of Benin Republic for their alleged involvement in the siphoning of 6,250 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), otherwise known as petrol.

10. Nigerian Nurse Found Dead After Marathon Sex With Lover In Lagos Hotel

A Nigerian nurse has been found dead after a sex romp with her lover in a hotel room in the Abule Egba area of Lagos. The deceased was identified as Folarin Olabisi (Mama Pelumi), aged 47, and her boyfriend is named Babajide Akeem Salako 36. Salako resides at No13 Lawal Street, Off Olaniyi Street, new Oko-Oba Agege, Lagos.
