The Job Creation and Empowerment Initiative of the Social Investment Programme of the Nigerian Government has attributed the non-payment of three-month stipends to some N-Power beneficiaries to the 'flagging by the GIFMIS platform for several reasons'.
The famed N-Power scheme made this known on Wednesday evening while stating that the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development is "working hard to resolve this". Read more here.
The Job Creation and Empowerment Initiative of the Social Investment Programme of the Nigerian Government on Wednesday said that it cannot give an exact time and date for settlement of unpaid stipends of some N-Power beneficiaries because the Accountant General's office is now responsible for payments.
The famed scheme via its official Twitter handle also adds that Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs "is anxious about payment getting to everyone owed quickly". Read more here.
On May 23, 2020, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development announced that it is working to streamline the N-Power scheme "for greater efficiency and to provide opportunities for more Nigerian youths".
