N-Power: Farouq's Aide Provides Update On NEXIT Portal

As the Nigerian government keeps on with the N-Power programme, Nneka Ikem, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development on Wednesday said that 126,937 exited beneficiaries from Batches A and B have so far submitted their records for the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN) Empowerment program.

N-Power: NSIP Team Sends Link To Beneficiaries To Complete Apl For CBN Empowerment Options (See Here)

The National Social Investment Program of Nigeria (NSIP) Team on Thursday sent a message to exited N-Power Batches A and B beneficiaries who are finding it difficult to complete their email validation process, AllNews reports. This development amid the much-publicised NEXIT for the one-time volunteers.

In the message forwarded to AllNews by an erstwhile beneficiary, Nigerian authorities asked the former beneficiaries to "bear with us". Read more here.

Despite the promise by Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, to pay all outstanding stipends of exited N-Power beneficiaries before the end of 2020, the Nigerian youths have yet to get settled, AllNews can authoritatively report. New Year, 2021, begins Friday.

It would be recalled that Farouq had in a tweet on her verified Twitter handle in October 2020 assured former N-Power beneficiaries with "legitimate claims" that they'd be settled their arrears before the start of 2021. However that promise - like many pledges by Farouq and numerous Nigerian politicians - remains empty, AllNews findings through communication with several Batch A and B beneficiaries revealed.
