N-Power: Nigerian Govt Engages Monitors In Rivers, Distributes Letters, Devices

The Federal Government has distributed engagement letters and devices to persons it recently trained to monitor its social investment schemes including the N-Power Programme in Rivers State.

Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Sadiya Umar Farouq, said the recipients were among the 5000 monitors from 36 states trained by her ministry in February. Read more here.

N-Power: 7 Months After Launch Of NEXIT By Buhari Administration, No CBN Intervention Has Materialized

Seven months after the launch of the N-Power NEXIT by Nigerian authorities, AllNews can authoritatively report that there is no single ex-beneficiary that has been placed into the any Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) intervention option — as promised.

NEXIT is a portal designed for the CBN empowerment programme for exited N-Power beneficiaries (batches A and B). It was launched in November 2020, but has not been effected despite hundreds of the erstwhile beneficiaries successfully completing registration. The next stage of the NEXIT has not been announced either - since 2020. Read more here.

Buhari Legacy: Over N2bn N-Power Money Unaccounted For To Date

One year after disengaging N-Power batches A and B beneficiaries, the Muhammadu Buhari administration has still not paid the stipends of over 14, 200 ex-enrolees.

N-Power beneficiaries, numbering about 500, 000, were entitled to a monthly stipends of N30, 000 (an estimated 73 US Dollars). However, between the months of March and July 2020, many beneficiaries did not get paid, and despite their constant cries, the government has refused to settle their payment. Read more here.
