Dr Dipo Awojide, a Senior Lecturer in Strategy at Nottingham Business School (UK), and Founder of BTDT Hub and BTDT Home Tutors has said that President Muhammadu Buhari deserves praise for the N-Power scheme, just as ‘we can also praise President Goodluck Jonathan for the PRESSID scholarship’.
Awojide was replying to a Twitter user, Jeff Philips (@jeffphilips1), who claimed that his online research on the much-talked-about Presidential Special Scholarship Scheme for Innovation and Development (PRESSID) scheme of the Jonathan administration (now cancelled), revealed that “of the 102 successful candidates for that international scholarship, not one person is a northerner”. A social media user, @Abushua00895680, has praised the impact of Afolabi Imoukhuede, the former N-Power Cluster Lead of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).
Imoukhuede who conceptualised the N-Power scheme handed off it around June 2020, with the programme now overseen by Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development of Nigeria. Read more here.
