N-Power: Reps Makes 'Special Request' To Youth Ministry On Scheme, Other NSIPs

As the Nigerian Government keep on with the N-Power programme, both the House of Representatives and the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, have decried the low amounts proposed for the youth in the 2021 Appropriation Bill, AllNews reports.

At a budget defence session organised by the House Committee on Youth Development in Abuja on Monday, the lawmakers also stated that the ministry should be supervising or at least involved in the execution of youth-related programmes in the country. Read more here.

N-Power: Buhari Minister Accused Of 'Holding Destinies Of Nigerian Youths'

As the Nigerian government keep on with the famed N-Power scheme, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development, Sadiya Farouq, has been accused of nonchalant attitude towards the condition of Nigerian youths, AllNews reports.

It would be recalled that Farouq, had on October 27, stated that 14,200 erstwhile beneficiaries have 5 months' outstanding stipend arrears. Read more here.

A Nigerian social commentator and ex-N-Power beneficiary, Mustapha Kabir Soron Dinki has asserted that exited volunteers "always sleep and wake up with expectations of N-Power Transition Plan", AllNews reports.
