'Account For N500B COVID-19 Fund' - PDP Challenges Minister In Charge Of N-Power

As the Nigerian government keeps on with the N-Power program, Sadiya Farouq, the minister of humanitarian affairs, who is also in charge of the famed scheme has been challenged by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to account for N500 billion COVID-19 funds.

Making this call in a statement on Sunday, the  Publicity Secretary of PDP Kola Ologbondiyan cleared that the COVID-19 palliative donations made by the private sector were different from the funds set aside by the Federal government. Read more here.

N-Power Stipends: Teacher Writes Buhari Minister

An erstwhile beneficiary of the Nigerian government's N-Power scheme, Aremu Ridwan has written Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management, and Social Development of Nigeria to settle their 5-month backlogs "before November 15th, 2020", AllNews reports.

It would be recalled that Farouq, had on October 27, stated that 14,200 beneficiaries have 5 months' outstanding stipend arrears. Read more here.
