Matawalle Clarifies Comment About ‘Ending Bandits In 4 Days’ In Zamfara

The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has clarified the news making rounds on media platforms that he will end banditry in the state within four days.

Matawalle said he was quoted out of context during a sympathy visit by the All Progressives Governors Forum led by the forum chairman and governor of Kebbi State, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, over the resurgence of banditry attacks in the state where lives of innocent citizens were lost. Jagajaga Reloaded: 'Keyamo Is In Pains' - Eedris Abdulkareem Throws Jab

The brawl between the Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Kayamo and Nigerian singer, Eedris Abdulkareem can be traced to Tuesday when the singer released 'Jagajaga Reloaded', featuring Modarocker and Mr. Raw. 

The veteran singer got banned from playing on the radio and also from performing in events and live concerts when he dropped the first version of the song in 2004. Read more here.

Again Gunmen Attack Sunday Igboho's Residence

The media aide to Sunday Igboho, Olayomi Koiki on Monday alerted the public that some gunmen have again attacked the residence of the popular Yoruba right activist in the early hours of Monday.

In a viral video shared on Facebook, Koiki claimed that the residence was besieged by men of the Nigeria Army with the aim of arresting the activist. Read more here.

Ndume To FG: Expose 400 BDC Operators Funding Boko Haram

Senator Ali Ndume, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army, has asked the Federal Government to expose the 400 Bureau De Change (BDC) operators recently arrested for allegedly funding the activities of Boko Haram insurgency in the country.

Ndume, who is representing Borno South Senatorial District in the National Assembly and whose senatorial district is currently under the siege of the Boko Haram terrorists stated this in an interview with journalists in Abuja on Sunday. Read more here.

IPOB: 5 Things You Didn't Know About Slain Nnamdi Kanu's Man, Ikonso Commander

A tactical team of the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Army, and Department of State Services (DSS), in a joint operation last Saturday eliminated Ikonso Commander, who was said to be the commander of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) military.

The early morning raid in Awomama Village, Oru East LGA of Imo State also saw an army officer, three policemen and some other IPOB members losing their lives. Read more here.

Ex-CBN Director Urges FG To Remove Hindrances To Manufacturing Cement In Nigeria

Dr. Titus Okunrounmu, a former Director of Budgeting Department, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appealed to the Federal Government to remove any obstacles that may be hampering cement manufacturing in the country.

By the end of the award night, it collected seven trophies. The second-highest tally went to Disney, which took home five awards. Barely two weeks after the Greenfield University Attack in Kaduna State reports emerged the Kaduna State University (KASU) increased school fees for indigenes and non-indigenes respectively.

According to reports by popular online news platforms, the Kaduna State University increased its tuition fees from N26,000 to N150,000 for students in the Faculty of Arts, Management, and Social Sciences, while the Faculty of Medicine to N300,000 as against N24,000 while non-indigenes will pay N500,000.
