1. COVID-19: Nigeria Begins Vaccination In Abuja

A Medical doctor of the National Hospital, Abuja, Dr Cyprian Igong has received a jab of the AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccine as Nigeria commenced the deadly virus vaccination process today. 

The Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, flagged off the exercise on behalf of President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja. Read more here.

2. President Buhari To Decorates New Service Chiefs

President Muhammadu Buhari will today decorate the nation's new Service Chiefs at the Council Chamber inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The decoration which is scheduled to hold today, Friday is coming days after the two chambers of the National Assembly had confirmed the service chiefs’ nominations. Read more here.

3. Breaking: Meet The First Person To Take COVID-19 Vaccine in Nigeria

A medical doctor, Ngong Cyprian, has become the first person that received the COVID-19 vaccine in Nigeria.

4. FRSC Impounds 55 Rickety Vehicles In Anambra

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra State Command, said it impounded 55 rickety vehicles on its first day of the  Special Operation to ensure that such vehicles were cleared off the roads.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi, told the press on Friday, in Awka, that the clampdown, which commenced on Thursday, was a national directive to clear the nation’s highways of rickety vehicles. Read more here.

5. Chief Medical Director Urges Nigerians To Get Vaccinated Against COVID-19

Professor Saad Ahmed, the Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jabi, Abuja, has urged Nigerians to register for COVID-19 vaccination.

The CMD also advised Nigerians to take advantage of the website launched by the Federal Government to register and make themselves available for the COVID-19 vaccination. Read more here.

6. PDP: Oyinlola To Reconcile Makinde, Fayose

The former Governor of Osun State, Olagunsoye Oyinlola has scaled up efforts to reconcile the feud between Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and former Ekiti State Governor Ayo Fayose, over the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the Southwest.

Oyinlola who plan to reconcile the duo before the zonal congress of the party said he has reached out to the two leaders and they have indicated willingness to attend a reconciliation meeting today. Read more here.

Waves of positivity swept the markets on Friday after data showed faster-than-expected jobs growth in February, reinforcing bets on an economic rebound driven by massive fiscal stimulus and vaccination drives.

American automobile and a division of Stellantis, Jeep has officially announced that the 2022 model, the Grand Wagoneer will be the first car to have new models of the Amazon Fire TV integration.
