Nneka Ikem, the Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to Sadiya Farouq, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development has disclosed that the Federal Government is "almost done" with paying outstanding stipends of N-Power batches A and B beneficiaries.

A Nigerian man based in the United States of America has reportedly escaped from kidnappers’ den after turning the heat against one of his captors and beating him to a pulp.

6. NNPC Posts $108m For Crude Oil, Gas Export Sales In November – Report

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has said that it achieved a trading surplus of 108.84 million dollars (about N13.43billion) for the month of November 2020.

7. Hyundai Unveils First Electric Vehicle Assembled In Nigeria

Hyundai has unveiled the first Electric Vehicle "the Hyundai Kona" assembled in Nigeria and launched by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC). 

The electric car, which was assembled by the Stallion Group Automobile, has been tagged as an innovation that will enable Nigeria and Nigerians to benefit from the gains in renewable and sustainable energy. This innovation will help to foster an eco-friendly environment. Read more here.

8. 'No To The Reopening Of Lekki Toll Gate': Sowore, DJ Switch Others​​​​​​​

Some Nigerian celebrities have kicked against the approval for the reopening of Lekki Toll Gate.

10. Petrol Price May Hit N190 Per Liter As Crude Oil Nears $60

Nigeria Oil Marketers on Sunday said with the current global crude oil markets realities, the price of Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) in Nigeria will hit N185 to N200 per litre unless the Federal Government wants to subsidise the product. 

The Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer, Major Oil Marketers Association of Nigeria, Clement Isong who made this known in an interview with the Punch said the continued increase in oil prices had brought back petrol subsidy. Read more here
