1. COVID-19: Buhari, Osinbajo To Be Publicly Vaccinated On Saturday

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo will on Saturday receive the AstraZeneca/Oxford COVID-19 vaccine in a live broadcast that will be televised across the country. 

Dr Faisal Shuaib, the Executive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) disclosed this on Thursday at the State House briefing in Abuja. Read more here.

2. COVID-19: Health Commissioners To Meet Over Sharing Of 3.9million Vaccine Doses

The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire will on Thursday meet with other commissioners for health in the 36 states over the effective sharing and distribution of the COVID-19 vaccine across the country. 

The Commissioner for health in Plateau and Cross River State, Dr Nimkong Lar and Dr Betta Edu made this known in a separate interview on Wednesday. Read more here.

3. Zamfara Governor Reveals Those Behind Abduction of Over 300 Girls

The Governor of Zamfara State, Bello Matawalle has revealed that insiders were involved in the abduction of the schoolgirls of Government Secondary School in Jangebe, on February 26.

The governor made the revelation on Wednesday while featuring on an interview Channels Television’s programme, ‘Politics Today’. The Governor said the watchman of the school was involved in the abduction. Read more here.

4. Arrest Suswam’s Killers, Orji Kalu Tasks Police

The Chief Whip of the Senate, Senator Orji Kalu has condoled with former Governor of Benue, Senator Gabriel Suswam, who lost his elder brother, Chief Terkura Suswam.

Kalu, in a statement issued on Thursday in Abuja, decried the unfortunate incident and urged security agencies to investigate circumstances that led to his death. Read more here.

5. Ogun Assembly Deputy Speaker Impeached By 19 Lawmakers

The Deputy Speaker of Ogun State House of Assembly, Dare Kadiri was on Thursday impeached for alleged gross misconduct, AllNews report. 

Kadiri who represent Ijebu North Constituency 2 at the National Assembly was impeached by 19 members out of the 26 lawmakers of the Ogun State house of Assembly. Read more here.

6. Man Utd Settle For A Draw vs Crystal Ahead Of Manchester Derby

Manchester United slipped further away behind league leaders and local rival, Manchester City as their hope of Premier League title fades into a 0-0 draw at Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

The draw left them 14 points behind City ahead of Sunday's Manchester derby.

7. NLNG Boss Begs FG Public To Monetize Nigeria’s Gas

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas (NLNG), Tony Attah has begged the Federal Government to revamp and monetize the Gas sub-sector of the oil industry in Nigeria.

He made this remark during his presentation at the second virtual Nigeria Gas Association (NGA) Multilogues themed: “Powering Forward, Enabling Nigeria’s Industrialization via Gas.” Read more here.

8. Jack Dorsey's Square Acquires Majority of Jay-Z's Tidal

Jack Dorsey's payment solutions company Square Inc. is buying a majority stake in music streaming company Tidal, a service partly owned by Jay-Z, (real name Shawn Carter) who will now become a board member. 

Square will pay $297 million in a mix of cash and stock to become Tidal’s “significant majority” owner, though Jay-Z and Tidal’s other existing artist-shareholders will retain some ownership in the company. Tidal will operate independently within Square, according to a company release, and Jay-Z will join Square’s board of directors. Read more here.

9. Bella Shmurda Causes Stir Online With Unreleased Video Of 'Rush'

Akinbiyi Abiola Ahmed, popularly known by his stage name ‘Bella Shmurda is currently causing stir on Twitter following the snippet of his unreleased video of 'Moving Fast: Rush' which he posted.

In the video, the vixens featured wore long black skirts but were topless with only an item that looked like black duct tape covering their nipples. Read more here.

10. Apple Launches Service For Transfer Of iCloud Photo Library To Google Photos

How to directly transfer iCloud Photos to Google Photos as Apple adds a service that lets you automatically transfer photos, videos and albums from users iCloud Photo Library to Google Photos.

Apple said that Google Photos is the only participating service for now, but more will be available over time. Meanwhile, shared albums, smart albums, photo stream content, live photos, some metadata, and media that aren’t stored in users iCloud Photo Library won’t transfer. Read more here.
