We Will Continue To Develop Education — Gaya

Member Representing Albasu, Gaya and Ajingi in the House of Representatives, Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya says plans are underway to inaugurate a committee that will look to ease educational burdens for some indigenes of the area.

In a statement released by the Representative Tuesday in Kano, he said 50 indigent students from of Albasu, Gaya, and Albasu local governments in higher institutions would be chosen for monthly financial grant to ease their way through school.

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) N500,000 grants portal has opened for graduates and undergraduates.

Nnamdi Kanu: Case Adjourned For Wednesday As Counsel Objects To Plea Bargain

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Tuesday, adjourned further proceedings in the case against the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, till Wednesday.

The adjournment followed Kanu's complaint that the Federal Government failed to promptly serve him the fresh 15-count amended charge it brought before the court.

No Election Time Table Until Assent To Electoral Bill— INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC says it will not release the 2023 general election timetable until the Electoral Act Amendment Bill is signed into law.

INEC Chairman, Professor Mahmood Yakubu disclosed this on Tuesday in Abuja during the commission’s first quarterly consultative meeting with political parties.
