The Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has said that Nigeria’s crude oil production declined to an average of 1.417 million barrels per day in February 2022.

Supermajor Shell Dialoguing With Communities Over Planned Disruption Of Operations

Supermajor Shell on Monday said it was working with the Bayelsa government to resolve a dispute with some host communities over the non-execution of an electricity project.

The four communities constituting the Kolo-Creek Cluster Development Board in the Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa on March 8 threatened to ground operations at Shell’s oilfields over the failure to provide them with electricity. Read more here.

NUPRC To Deploy Modern Technology To Curb Oil Theft

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has said that it is upgrading and deploying the National Production Monitoring System (NPMS) facility toward curbing crude oil theft in Nigeria.

Retailers Decry Return Of Hike In Cooking Gas Prices

The Liquefied Petroleum Gas Retailers (LPGAR), branch of National Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG), on Wednesday, decried the return of increment in the prices of cooking gas across the country.
