Iraq Energy Forum To Launch OPEC History Book At 60

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) said that the sixth Iraq Energy Forum (IEF) will host the formal launch of OPEC’s history book to commemorate the organisation’s 60th anniversary.

The history book, titled “OPEC 60 years and beyond: A story of courage, cooperation and commitment,” was prepared to commemorate the organisation’s 60th anniversary. Read more here.

IPMAN Decries Delay In Payment Of N500 Billion Bridging Claims

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), on Monday, appealed to the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) to pay its members their bridging claims of N500 billion.

Bridging claims is the cost of hauling petroleum products from refineries and depots to fuel stations. Read more here.

NNPC Says Low Load-Outs At Depots Responsible For Sudden Fuel Queues

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) said that the sudden appearance of fuel queues in parts of Abuja is due to low load-outs at depots.

A statement by Garba Muhammad, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Department, NNPC on Monday, said this usually happened during long public holidays, hence the Sallah celebrations. Read more here.

Fuel Scarcity: We Can’t Afford Exorbitant Diesel To Transport Products - Distributors

The Association of Distributors and Transporters of Petroleum Products (ADITOP) says the high cost of Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) used by petroleum tankers and low freight rate are responsible for current fuel scarcity in the FCT.

The AGO, popularly called diesel is currently being sold at N700 per litre against N290 per litre it was previously sold. Read more here.

Fuel Queues Resurface In Kaduna As IPMAN Threatens Strike

Most fuel stations in Kaduna are still clogged with vehicles and long queues as petrol scarcity looms following the strike warning by the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN).
