The President of the Senate, Ahmed Lawan has arrived Damaturu, the Yobe state's capital in anticipation of President Muhammadu Buhari's visit.
The Senate president arrived on Sunday via the Cargo International Airport set to be commissioned by Buhari.
He was received by the state Deputy Governor, Idi Barde Gubana, the speaker of the Yobe state House of Assembly and the state's All Progressives Congress (APC) Chairman.
Others who were at the airport to receive him included the Commissioner Ministry of Humanitarian affairs, Sen Abdulkadir Alkali Jajere and special adviser on political and legislative matters among other top Government officials.
Also at the Airport to welcome the Senate president were some stakeholders and teeming supporters of APC from zone C.
This was disclosed in a statement signed by the spokesperson to the deputy governor, Hussaini Mai Suleh.
Lawan's visit was to welcome president Buhari and receive him during his one day working visit to commission different projects in the state.
