Former Minister of Education, Oby Ezekwesili has revealed how the Police instigated the terrorist activities of the Boko-Haram sect in the Northern part of the country.
Ezekwesili who took to her Twitter page to make this revelation said that Nigeria has not learnt anything from the event that led to the emergence of Boko-Haram in 2010.
According to Ezekwesili, the extrajudicial killing of a sect leader known as Mohammed Yussuf by men of the Nigerian police in 2010 instigated the activities of Boko Haram.
The former education minister who has been an active voice in the fight against police brutality likened the Lekki massacre to the killing of Mohammed Yussuf.
"Remember how Boko Haram became a thing in this country? The extra-judicial killing of a sect leader known as Mohammed Yussuf by @PoliceNG in 2010 Ten years later, @NigeriaGov learned nothing. Uses @HQNigerianArmy for extra-judicial #LekkiTollGateMassacre. Incorrigible rulers," she tweeted.
It will be recalled that men of the Nigerian Army allegedly opened fire on peaceful #'ENDSARS protesters on the 20th of October 2020.
The #ENDSARS protesters are Nigerian youths who took to the street to call for the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Nigerian Police Force.
