Lekki Shooting: Davido Reveals Best Action Sanwo-Olu Should

Nigerian singer Davido has supported a suggestion that the Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu should resign, following the gunfire opened on #EndSars protesters at Lekki Tollgates.

AllNews earlier reported that the protesters at the Lekki tollgate came under heavy gunfire, shortly after the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced a 24-hour curfew, due to perceived violence.

Several were injured as many fled for their lives upon the gunfire, after soldiers arrived at the protest ground around 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 20.

Olushola Olufowobi on Twitter stated that Sanwo-Olu had started by handling the #EndSars protest so well, but he should resign because "he is forever stained."

Olufowobi wrote "H.E @jidesanwoolu started by handling this well. Let him resign in solidarity with massacred Lagos youths & forever win their heart. He can come back & re-contest but not on this Tinubu platter of blood. Lagosians will elect him on clean slate. Right now he is forever stained!"

Reacting to it, Davido shared the retweet by another user, with the singer stating that it was the best action to be taken, but Sanwo-Olu lacks the courage to resign.

The "Risky" crooner wrote, "Facts best thing for him to do rn ... but does he have the courage to do so !"

Meanwhile, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu earlier reacted to the opened gunfire at #EndSars protesters, saying "it is not time to trade blames."

In a statement on his social media pages, the governor described the incident as the toughest in history, blaming it on forces beyond their control.
