Lekki Shooting: They Say Fake News But Told More Lies Than S

Self-proclaimed African Giant,  Burna Boy has slammed the government over conflicting statements trailing the incident at Lekki tollgate,  Lagos, where soldiers opened gunfire on #EndSars protesters.

AllNews earlier reported that the protesters at the Lekki tollgate came under heavy gunfire, shortly after the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced a 24-hour curfew, due to perceived violence on Tuesday, October 20.

Reports say some died, many were injured as others fled for their lives upon the gunfire, after soldiers arrived at the protest ground around 6:30 pm on the said date.

However,  since the incident occured, there have been controversies surrounding the casualty figures or who ordered the army to visit the venue.

In a tweet, Burna Boy took swipes at the government, saying that it accused people of misinformation, but told more lies than Satan.

He wrote “They say Fake news, fake news but you are The ones who have made Fake promises and Told more Lies than SATAN since the beginning of “Democracy”. You see say This life no Balance.”

He did not end there as he also defended female disc jockey DJ Switch against allegations that she misinformed the public.

AllNews earlier reported that DJ Switch, who was present at the protest ground, said that 7 people had died before her phone went off and after that, the death toll had reached 15, and many were hit by bullets.

While recalling all that happened at the scene, she claimed to have asked one of the soldiers why they shot at protesters and he responded that they acted based on order.
