#LekkiTollGateShooting: Counsel To Nnamdi Kanu Points Out Wh

Aloy Ejimakor the Special Counsel to Biafra political activist, Nnamdi Kanu and the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has said that under international law, the Lekki Shooting carried out by the Nigerian Army is "a crime against humanity", AllNews reports.

"End SARS" movement has spread across Nigeria over the past fortnight, at least 56 people have died - 38 of them last Tuesday alone, Amnesty International claims.

Witnesses to the scenes in the infamous Lekki Toll Gate Shooting incident last Tuesday said more than 20 officers started firing at peaceful demonstrators.

Reacting to the Lekki Shooting incident in Nigeria once again, Ejimakor via his known Twitter handle on Wednesday stressed that it is 'a crime for soldiers to kill unarmed citizens'.

The legal practitioner also contested the Force's claim that it 'acted within rules of engagement', saying it is wrong.

Earlier, Ejimakor's client, Nnamdi Kanu, claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the military personnel to fire shots at the protesters and not Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State.
