Let’s Not Kill Ourselves Because Of Politics — Mr Macaroni

Nigerian comedian and social media influencer, Mr Macaroni, has appealed to Nigerians not to kill themselves because of politics as people who fan the embers of warfare will not participate in the war.

In a tweet, he warned people to desist from sharing inciting messages that could cause conflict between the Yoruba and Igbo tribes.

Mr Macaroni expressed concern over the increasing spread of such messages, warning that those encouraging it will not participate in the war, leaving innocent people to fight and destroy themselves.

“My people, those fanning the embers of warfare by sharing inciting messages aimed at provoking Yorubas and Igbos will not participate in the war.

“They will leave the people to fight and destroy themselves.

“Abeg let us wise up!!! Make we no kill ourselves because of Politics!” he wrote.

The tweet by Mr Macaroni came amid growing tension and speculation on social media regarding the upcoming gubernatorial election in Lagos State.

Some Twitter users had earlier speculated that the Labour Party gubernatorial candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, had plans to hand over Lagos State to the Igbos if he wins the election.
