Libianca now joins the ranks of esteemed African artists as the 11th artist to achieve this impressive feat.
Among the Nigerian artists who have reached similar milestones are Wizkid (2 platinum), CKay (1 platinum), Tems (2 platinum), Davido (2 gold), Burna Boy (2 gold), Fireboy (1 gold), Koredo Bello (1 gold), Rotimi (1 gold), Ayo Jay (1 gold), and Ivorian artist Afro B (1 gold).
This comes after the talented artiste surpassed 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
Additionally, the official music video for her hit song ‘People’ has surpassed an impressive 100 million views on YouTube, further solidifying her status as a rising star in the music industry.
The visually captivating video, directed by New York artist Ceojay, depicts a vulnerable and introspective Libianca navigating her personal battle with depression.
The poignant lyrics of the song are drawn from her own experiences, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the track.
Building on the success of ‘People’, Libianca also collaborated with acclaimed Nigerian artistes Omah Lay and Ayra Starr for the remix of the song, further amplifying its reach and appeal.
