Libya Flood: Prime Minister Suspends Learning For 10 Days

In solidarity with Libyans impacted by the September 11 floods, Libya's Prime Minister, Abdul Hamid Al-Dabaiba, has suspended learning across the country for 10 days.

The declaration was issued late Wednesday by Libya's internationally recognised Government of National Unity, which is situated in the capital, Tripoli.

Libya's two rival administrations, the internationally acknowledged Government of National Unity led by Prime Minister Al-Dabaiba and the eastern Libya government led by Prime Minister Osama Hamad, have both launched flood relief efforts in flood-ravaged eastern Libya.

The notification also stated that the suspension of learning would allow schools to serve as temporary shelters for flood victims.
