Ibrahim Gusau NFF New President
Although given the order by the court for the body not to conduct any election or hold off, it remains to be seen if his emergence will stand.
Gusau is the 41st President to lead the NFF since 1945.
He also has his name shared with a city in Nigeria 'Gusau' -- a city located in northwestern Nigeria, in the capital of Zamfara State.
Although he is actually from Sokoto State.
Unlike Pinnick who is a sportsman, Gusau is a politician -- He contested the primaries of the Gubernatorial seat of the National Party of Nigeria (NPN) in 1983 but lost to the incumbent Garba Nadama.
He is also a member of the Sokoto Sultanate council with the title of Sarkin Malamai and was a member of the 1977 and 1995 constitutional assembly.
Gusau was the National Chairman of United Nigeria Congress (UNC) which merged with United Nigeria Party (UNP) and Solidarity Group of Nigeria (SGN) led by Umaru Dikko to form the United Nigeria Congress Party (UNCP) during the Sani Abacha transition program.
Some publications refer to him as chairman of chairmen given his credentials, he truly is.
The question is, Is he really who the Nigerian football body needs to move forward?
