Lorient manager Régis Le Bris has showered praises on Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi following his impressive start to the 2022-23 Ligue 1 season.
Moffi was a subject of criticism last season after he endured a poor return in front of goal.
However, he has started this season with eye-catching performances banging in goals, including a superb goal against Lyon.
De Bris has backed him to become a star in any of the top leagues.
“I have great faith in Terem,” Le Bris declared on the official Ligue 1 website.
“We talked about things a lot. Forwards can go through barren spells, just like goalkeepers can have a dip in form.
“Finishing becomes harder. But they can still help the team in other ways… and Terem has been helping us in a lot of different areas since the start of the season.
“He’s a player who can play in the biggest leagues.
"He still has quite a few things he needs to work on, but just like any young player, he has lots of potentials.”
Moffi scored six goals for Lorient this season, but he could not add to his tally against Lens on Sunday night.
He was on target for Nigeria against Algeria in the international friendly match in which the Super Eagles lost 2-1.
The 23-year-old will hope to continue his goalscoring form when Lorient travel to Brest on Sunday.
