Ligue 1: Super Eagles Star Moses Simon On Target For Nantes Against Toulouse

Super Eagles winger Moses Simon scored one and assisted the other as Nantes defeated Toulouse 3-1 in a French Ligue 1 encounter on Sunday.

Nantes earned their first win of the season thanks to an impressive showing from Moses Simon.

Their first game of the season ended goalless against Angers before losing  2-1 to Marseille last week.

Zakaria Aboukhkal gave Toulouse the lead in the 15th minute against the run of play.

Evann Guessand brought Nantes back into the game following good footwork by Moses Simon just before halftime.

Mostafa Mohamed gave Nantes the lead ten minutes after the restart.

Moses Simon put the game beyond Toulouse's reach with a brilliant goal assisted by Mostafa Mohamed in the 61st minute to help Nantes to their first win of the season.

The 27-year-old has now scored two goals and recorded one assist in four Ligue 1 matches this season.

He has been linked with a move away from the club all summer, with Nottingham Forest and Leeds United interested in his services.

Nantes will resume Ligue 1 action against Strasbourg on Wednesday.
