Arsenal has signed Lille defender, Gabriel Magalhaes for £27 million as Mikel Arteta aims to compete against Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea for silverware.
He became the third Brazilian in the Gunner's squad with the likes of Willian and David Luiz.
Ligue 1 has already started ahead of the English Premier League (EPL) and the loss of the defender could affect Lille's defence as they look to sign a replacement for the 22-yeard old center-back.

He becomes the fourth major signing for Arsenal after Pablo Mari, Cedric Soares, and Willian were done in August. His arrival will give Mikel Arteta more options defensively as the club competes in four major tournaments in the 2020-21 season after clinching the FA Cup and the community shield.
Gabriel is a left-footed center-back who normally plays on the left side of a center-back partnership. However, Gabriel can also play as part of a back three.
Despite his height (about 90 meters), Gabriel is known for being pacy, he is super fast and covers his side well. He is also good with aerial balls with a very high record win of aerial balls in the French league
Gabriel is also known for his distribution ability, generally looking to play the ball forward or to the left-back.
The return of William Saliba from Saint Etienne would also add to squad depth for the London club.
