LinkedIn introduces Thought Leader ads to boost marketing revenue

LinkedIn introduces Thought Leader ads to boost marketing re

LinkedIn, a platform traditionally associated with professional networking, is entering the influencer marketing arena with the launch of Thought Leader ads.

The move comes amidst stagnating revenue growth since 2022, prompting the company to tap into its expansive user base, which surpassed 1 billion members in November.

The introduction of Thought Leader ads allows advertisers to amplify posts from users, including those with substantial followings.

While influencer marketing has thrived on consumer apps like Instagram and TikTok, LinkedIn's market share remains modest, projected to capture just 4% of the social media marketing revenue.

Despite the slow adoption of ad formats, LinkedIn's foray into Thought Leader ads signals a strategic effort to diversify revenue streams and compete in the evolving landscape of social media advertising.
