LinkedIn's Newest AI Composing Messages To Hire Managers

LinkedIn's Newest AI Composing Messages To Hire Managers

LinkedIn is now beta-testing a new generative AI tool that will create succinct messages that resemble cover letters that job seekers may submit to hiring managers via the site.

The site's premium customers are now beginning to receive the functionality.

Users will now have the choice to "Let AI draught a message to the hiring team" next to vacant positions on the platform's jobs page as a result of the upgrade.

The function, according to the firm, creates a "highly personalised" message using information from "information from your profile, the hiring manager's profile, the job description, and the company of interest."

According to LinkedIn's sample, the message sounds like the first few phrases of a cover letter.

However, depending on how much information is in your LinkedIn profile, the AI-written message users see may differ.

According to the business, "customization is still important," and users should double-check and alter the wording before sending it.

Other generative AI features have been tested by OpenAI partner Microsoft's LinkedIn, which is owned by that company.

The portal introduced "collaborative articles" that also incorporate AI-written material, as well as AI writing recommendations for profiles.
