Liverpool beats David Moyes's West Ham United 5-1 in Carabao

Liverpool made the most of their clash with the in-form West Ham United in the Carabao Cup as they trashed the London side 5-1 on Wednesday night.

Liverpool's Hungarian star Dominik Szoboszlai opened the scoring in style for Liverpool with a long-range effort to make it 1-0 in the 28th minute.

It ended 1-0 at half-time. But the Reds would score more goals as Curtis Jones scored a solo goal where he took the ball and faced into the 18-yard box before slotting home to make it 2-0 for Liverpool.

He was assisted by Liverpool's Uruguay star Darwin Nunez in the 56th minute. Cody Gakpo made it 3-0 in the 71st minute thanks to an assist from Ibrahima Konate.

West Ham United's Jarrod Bowen reduced the deficit to make it 3-1 following a brilliant goal in the 77th minute.

Ben Johnson assisted him. Mohamed Salah then got on the score sheet following a sweet finish in the box to make it 4-1 in the 82nd minute.

Curtis Jones now completed his brace with a goal in the 84th minute to make it 5-1. Impressive full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold assisted the last two goals for Liverpool.

It ended 5-1 as Liverpool advanced to the Semi-finals of the Carabao Cup at the expense of David Moyes's West Ham United.
