Liverpool Fight Back To Earn Late Win At Wolves

Liverpool Fight Back To Earn Late Win At Wolves

Liverpool came from a goal down to earn a 3-1 win at Wolves and go top of the Premier League.

The home side started on the front foot and were deservedly ahead inside seven minutes.

Hwang Hee-Chan opened the scoring at the far post after some excellent wing play by Pedro Neto.

But Cody Gakpo drew Liverpool level in the 55th minute when the Dutchman slotted home Mohamed Salah's fizzing cross-shot.

Liverpool eventually took the lead with five minutes remaining until full-time through Andy Robertson, whose unstoppable shot found the bottom right corner.

There was still time for a third in injury time as substitute Harvey Elliott's shot deflected off Hugo Bueno for an own goal to complete the turnaround.

The win moves Liverpool one point clear at the top of the table until Saturday's 3 pm kick-offs are finalised.
