Liverpool See Off West Ham To Maintain Unbeaten Start

Liverpool maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 win over West Ham at Anfield.

The hosts took the lead inside 16 minutes when Mohamed Salah scored from the penalty spot after he had been fouled in the box.

But the Hammers went in level shortly before half-time thanks to Jarrod Bowen's diving header.

Then, on 60 minutes, Darwin Nunez acrobatically volleyed home after Alexis Mac Allister clipped a hopeful pass into the box, making the score 2-1.

Diogo Jota added a late third from a corner to wrap up the win for Jurgen Klopp's side.

The result sees Liverpool move to second place, two points behind the leaders Manchester City with 16, while West Ham drop to seventh on 10 points.
