Liverpool's hopes of winning silverware were dashed when they were eliminated from the Champions League after a comfortable 1-0 win by Real Madrid in their last-16 second leg, wrapping up a 6-2 aggregate victory.
Although this is a major setback, manager Jurgen Klopp called on his team to "squeeze absolutely everything" from the remainder of the season as they chase a top-four finish.
Klopp admitted that if you want to win the competition, you have to be outstanding, and his team was not at their best.
Liverpool has already been eliminated from the League Cup and FA Cup, and are currently in sixth place in the Premier League. Their recent 1-0 defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened Bournemouth has put them under more pressure.
However, Klopp remains optimistic about the future and urged his team to give their all in the remaining games of the season.
Liverpool faces a tough stretch of games coming up, including matches against Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. Klopp believes that Liverpool must win these games to have any chance of securing a top-four finish in the Premier League.
