Liverpool vs Chelsea 5-3: Champions Exert Dominance Over Blu

Liverpool exerted dominance over Blues in an eight-goal thriller leaving the third place and fourth place open for Chelsea, Manchester United, and, or Leicester City with one more game left in the EPL.

Chelsea resumes action after coming out victorious over Manchester United in the FA Cup to progress to the final, to face the Champions of England, Liverpool only to experience defeat themselves in an 8-goal thriller.

The match started off with Liverpool in the front row after goals from Keita, Arnold, and Wijnaldum placed them 3 goals ahead of the blues. But Giroud scored one back before the end of the first half to make it 3-1.

The second half started with Firmino scoring with 55 mins on the clock and Abraham responded with a goal. With the scoreline line at 4-2, Pulisic gave the Blues some glimpse of hope with a 73rd-minute strike. In an effort to levelled it, a quick counter-attack led to Oxlade Chamberlain killing the game off with an 84th-minute strike to make the match 5-3.

The Blues could have sealed the 3rd place in the UEFA Champions League qualification with a win at Anfield on Wednesday evening but a loss has opened the opportunity for Manchester United and Leicester City to overtake them or left to be decided till the end of the season.

As it stands Manchester United is levelled with Chelsea on 63 points and Leicester City is behind with 62 points. The final game is between Leicester and United, the game would decide who qualifies and Leicester has an upper hand because they will be at home.

Chelsea also has a tough match with Wolves, the wolves need a win to get a Europa League spot or risk been overtaken by Tottenham Hotspur.
