Nasarawa-governor-Abdullahi Sule
The Mohammed Danlami-led Executive Council of Nasarawa Eggon Local Government has denied retirees their 2-month arrears.
This is against the directive given by Governor Abdullahi Sule a week ago to the third tier of government to clear outstanding arrears of workers for November and December 2020.
Only a few local governments had complied fully notably Doma led by Architect Usman Sarki Ahmad of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In Nasarawa Eggon, the Council also paid the 2-month arrears in compliance with the directive except for retirees and the deceased.
The majority however only paid for a month, including development areas notably Akun Development Area where the beneficiaries were paid on Friday.
