Malcolm X: Daughter Of Late Activist Found Dead

Malikah Shabazz, one of Malcolm X's daughters has been found dead in her Brooklyn apartment.

NBC reports that the 56-year-old was found unresponsive in her home in Midwood on Monday afternoon and an NYPD spokesperson disclosed that her death is not deemed suspicious.

According to the reports, the police responded shortly after 4.30 pm and by that time, emergency services were already at the scene.

It was disclosed that Shabazz herself had called 911. She was pronounced dead after the medical examiner certified that she was lifeless.

Malcolm X

Malcolm X was assassinated in February 1965 by three members of the Nation of Islam. The two men convicted of his murder were exonerated last week.

Shabazz was one of the late activist's six children. She was born seven months after the assassination of her father in New York.
