Male artistes sweep Spotify's most-streamed list in Nigeria

Spotify's 2023 top ten most-streamed artistes' list in Nigeria is exclusively dominated by male singers.

The list which was published by the streaming platform on Wednesday excludes female artistes. 

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has been crowned the most-streamed Nigerian artiste on Spotify for 2023.

This is according to data published by the streaming platform on Wednesday.

According to the data, Asake's  ‘Lonely at the Top’, ‘2:30’ and  ‘Amapiano,’ with Olamide, shinned in the top 10 list of the most streamed songs on Spotify in Nigeria. 

‘Lonely at the Top’ earned the top spot while ‘2:30’ and  ‘Amapiano,’ occupied the fourth and 10 positions on the list.

The 'Amapiano' crooner also ranked as the most streamed artiste in Ghana and Togo

Also on the top ten list were Seyi Vibez, Omah Lay, BNXN, Rema, Odumodublvck, Olamide, and Wizkid.

Asake, Burna Boy and Davido also ranked first second and third respectively on this year's Wrapped for Nigeria.

The list, however, excluded Ayra Starr's hit single 'Sability', which ranked No. 1 on TurnTable 100 Top in after its release in February and No.3 on Apple Music Nigeria in the same month.
