Thousands of party faithful on Tuesday morning welcomed the Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar to Enugu State as he meets Southeast stakeholders.
The private jet conveying the former Vice President of Nigeria touched down at about 11 am amidst loud cheers from the crowd.
Atiku is in Enugu for a crucial meeting with Southeast leaders and stakeholders as part of consultation and sensitisation ahead of the commencement of the campaign.
Atiku arrived alongside his running mate and governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, National Chairman of the PDP, Senator Iyorchia Ayu; former Senate Presidents, Bukola Saraki and Anyim Pius Anyim, Chairman of PDP Presidential Council
Others include Sokoto State governor, Aminu Tambuwal; Director General of Atiku campaign organisation and Akwa Ibom State governor, Udom Emmanuel and many others.
