Haaland on target with a brace

Manchester City are one win away from a historic Premier League title after Tuesday night's hard-fought 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at the latter's home ground.

The game had huge ramifications on two other teams - Arsenal and Aston Villa - who were rooting for Tottenham and anchester City as they jostle for the title and UEFA Champions League spot.

In the end, Erling Haaland's brace which were unanswered from Spurs, sees Villa nick the fourth place in the topflight and qualify for Europe.

However, it was not good news for Arsenal who must now hope that West Ham United do not falter on Sunday as a draw between the Hammers and City and a win for them means a Premier League trophy.

Defeat for David Moyes in his last league game would see Pep Guardiola triumph at the expense of his fiend and former assistant, Mikel Arteta.

The north London side went agonisinly close last season but a few bad results towards the end of the season saw thm lose out.

Haaland broke the deadlock in the second half as he prodded home Kevin De Bruyne in the 51st minute then doubled the lead in stoppge time. However, much of the plaudits woud also go to the substitute goalkeeper Stefan Ortega who replaced the injured Ederson but produced some magnificent saves.
