Man Kills Cigarette Seller Over N50 Change

The Ogun State police have arrested a man named Biodun Adebiyi, for beating a cigarette seller to death over 50 Naira. The Ogun State police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed this on Monday.

According to the police's report, the incident happened yesterday, Sunday in the area of Idiroko, where the deceased was beaten to death by the said Biodun Adebiyi, because he was refused his N50 change.

The Ogun State Police report stated: “The suspect was arrested on December 5,  2021, following a report by the father of the deceased, who reported that the suspect came to his shop to buy cigarettes and in the process killed his son, Mukaila Adamu over an argument of 50 Naira change. He pounced on his son as he collapsed and was taken to the hospital where he died."

Lanre Bankole, the commissioner of police in the state approved the transfer of the suspect to the homicide section of the state criminal investigation and intelligence department.
