Man kills wife as hostage stepson escapes in Russia

A shocking incident unfolded in Sterlitamak, Russia, as 42-year-old Vitaly Ormandzhi allegedly held his estranged wife, Anna Boltneva, and her 16-year-old son, Bogdan, hostage.

Reports detail a horrifying sequence of events, with Ormandzhi resorting to violence, including beating both victims with a baseball bat, threatening them with a gun, and demanding money.

The situation escalated to a gruesome level as he allegedly stabbed Anna Boltneva to death, revealing a premeditated plan evident from a "black funeral ribbon" he brought to the crime scene.

In a desperate bid for survival, the handcuffed 16-year-old boy managed a daring escape, running through the streets to reach a friend's flat.

Law enforcement reports confirm that despite being tied up, the boy fought back and successfully sought refuge. The friend promptly called the police, initiating a swift response to the unfolding tragedy.

The Russian Investigative Committee said; “When the ex-wife returned home, a quarrel occurred between her and the accused, during which the woman's son managed to escape and contacted the police through friends.

“At this time, the accused stabbed the victim several times in the neck and chest area. The woman died on the spot from her injuries.”
