A 42-year-old man, Dennis Ojah, is currently on the run after raping a 12-year-old girl at Otada community in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue state.
According to reports, the suspect lured the girl into his house under the pretext that he wanted to send her on an errand.
Ojah, however, had carnal knowledge of the victim after beating her up.
His luck ran out when parents of the girl discovered that something was wrong with their daughter, who later narrated what transpired between her and Ojah.
The case was immediately reported at the police station in Otukpo, after which the victim was taken to a hospital for examination and treatment.
Police Public Relations Officer, Deputy Superintendent, DSP, Catherine Anene, confirmed the incident.
